Any Mini Buggy racing going on yet?

Hi guys.

I'm getting close to finishing my AR51- http://www.rickskraschsite.com/index.php and a mate who has been helping me with the build is super interested in building the same, or maybe a Barracuda... but only if he can compete somewhere.

So, the question is, do the mini buggys ever run at Sorra?

Cheers

Rich

Ring Ian at SORRA and have a talk with him, I know they where trying to help the mini buggys get something started but lack of numbers/helpers, I think it just faded away.

Cheers Mark

I have spoken to ian,  and I will be going out to colo tomorrow for some track time and if you would like  to come out and talk to me , I seem to be the one who is the last standing and pushing for the mini buggies to get a full go at it .   unfortunately I am the only one at the moment and support is appreciated . my name is carl and im located in st marys , so if you need anything , drop us a line and i'll see what I can do.   as it stands though, no racing until we come up with enough officials to run a meeting . so 1 party just wont do it.

Hi Nick,
We have a few guys at moment in the process of building new buggies that will be joining in with the others we have running at the moment.
not a lot of consistancy, except for Carlos. but there is always somewhere to run them in between ,on our race days and khanacross events.
here from you tomorrow.

I'm one of the guys with the AR51's.

We thought we were ready to run, but the guy with the Busa powered one is having trouble with the centre section not being strong enough.

He's broken the first one and twisted the new one that was made from a stronger material- pics attached.

We're trying to get a new shaft made from 4130/4140 to eliminate the weak point.

Today I'm in the process of pulling mine apart to check if it's twisting too.

My name is Ben Merretz from Oakville.

I have a 650cc Joyner that I recently acquired, and a 250cc Hammerhead GT.

I'm going over the Joyner with a fine tooth comb to find anything that needs to be sorted so my ride is safe and reliable. Looking at strengthening the frame in weak points I have identified and will customise a number of other bits all over.

The most crutial things lacking for mini buggies is a place to race them and a community of mini buggy enthusiasts. Hopefully enough people get their info up on this page and we can get the ball rolling.

I went to the track today and had a look at some of the full sized vehicles and was really impressed with everything I saw! The facilities are excellent and all the people i met were really friendly and helpful. Can't wait to drive that circuit!

Ben put this up in the Mini Buggy section. I would suggest talking and puting stuff on the forum under the last entry, or this one
