Who from n.s.w. might be going to Donald....heard Aztek & the Beast are going, who else?
Just got my car out of the shed to start getting ready, just trying to organize a few things...like babysitters (any volunteers)!
Werner & Sue were supposed to do it, but for some unknown reason are going to Hyden.
Should be a good event if all goes to plan.
I like the idea of "pitting" in town, hopefully close to a pub that sells vodka!

Yep! I'll be there, can't wait!!
Haven't heard of anyone else at this stage.  The Grants may get there,  I don't think the big
Class 5 Triton will be there though, as I have his trailer....hehe!
Jones, looks like those "AA" meetings are finally starting to paying off.....are the baby sitters for the Kids, or for you after the pub??

I will be there taking lots of pictures for Dirtcomp magazine, so make sure that you all put on a good show wherever I am situated (who knows where that will be) and hopefully you will get your picture in the magazine!!  :)

Does anyone know if camping is permitted at the track?
If not, can anyone suggest a place to stay in Donald.....5 star is not required, as wife will be staying home.

With the changes to the even this year (the track running right in to Donald), I am not sure if you will eb able to camp at the football oval where the even will be based.  It would probably be best if you email one of the organisers to check on this.

I do know that Donald does have a caravan park, so you may be able to contact them to make a booking there?

The caravan park is almost directly across the road from the football ground so is in easy walking distance. For that matter, so are the pubs, pizza shop, motels supermarket and anything else you would find in a country town.

It will be good to have a look at your car, and those of the other NSW competitors that might come down. 

I was at one stage trying to get the funds together to purchase your old class 9 buggy, but unfortuantely couldn't get the funds together at the time.

Oh...I forgot to ask the most important question of all....is there a MacDonalds in town....nothing like a big breaky before a big race.....lol

Shame you missed out on the class 9 car Trekka. Selling that car was the worst move I ever made!!

No, so far as I am aware there is no McDonalds in Donald :) 

And don't worry, I know it was a shame that I couldn't get that car, it looked very nice!!  It is so hard to get an amount of cash put aside to buy a car.  If only I could find someone rich enough selling a car so that I could pay it off over time!! :)  haha

Damn, and i thought it was going to be nice and quiet in the Caravan Park.

McDonalds!!! The town isn't that big. Although the two cafe's will do breakfast (or did last year).

I'm a dedicated racer now, no vodka before the event. Although a couple of beers won't go astray.
I will try to be quiet in the caravan park, but I can't be blamed for snoring loudly and keeping anyone sleeping in my trailer awake.
Who needs Maccas, when you've got pub counter meals, and hopefully bacon & eggs from the cafes for brekky.

Anyone heard of amount of entries for Donald yet?
My car is 99% ready, and entry has left?
Can we get away with driving our buggies from the caravan park to the showgrounds without fear of fines? Apparently it's across the road.

I wouldn't be inclined to try it. We need to show that we are law abiding citizens in public and driving on a public road would be sending the wrong message.

I did'nt mean to sound like a 'redneck', it's just that I will be sharing a trailer and I was under the impression that we only need to cross the road.
It would have saved the hassle of doubling-up just to cart the buggies 100mtrs.
Although I saw that movie, Fast and the Furious, a bit of night street racing might be fun...l.o.l...anybody got some nitrous?
Aztek, have you got that 'Big Bitch, er, I mean Beast' going yet?
Who else from NSW is going? Or is it only 2 of us? Hope the Vic's take it easy on us!

Yes Jones, the big bitch is nearly there.  Going to the dyno on Tuesday, hope that goes ok!......I hate dynos

As far as I know its just you and me mate, I'm sure the Vic's will look after us.

Renegade-If your worried about sending the wrong message, crossing the road in a buggy should be the last thing to on your mind with Jones in town.

Azteck is heading over to my place thursday night, then we'll travel together early friday morning, hopefully in time for recon.
Should be about 5-6hr drive from my home.
I heard a wisper that the 'beast' has picked up a few more 'missing' horsepower....no excuse for no outright place now!

Extra horsepwer was the last thing I needed. Shame I can't put myself on the dyno to make me drive faster.....hey slow!
If I just finish Donald that will be a win for me.
As for excuses.......mate, I wrote the book on excuses, thats one thing I am good at!

mate - I'd love to... but Im more interested in making sure that Im racing donald next year than hanging about in the pits this year. We havent worked on the racecar for almost 3 weeks and Im getting major withdrawals! Im hoping to make up for it over easter.

nice to hear there's a few more ponies too mate. :)

Jones - please dont frighten azteck with your peejays the way you did when me and rick first met ya - terrifying! Im still having nightmares... :p
