Brisbane stadium race date and venue change

   Hey guys,
  Due to unforseen and unavoidable circumstances (RNA Showgrounds being dug up for an inner city bypass tunnel) we have had to change the date and venue of the Brisbane stadium race.

  The new venue is Brisbane International Speedway and the new date is September 15.
  Progress on the event is going well and there will be a website up shortly which will have all the information and drivers profiles on it.
  We are also in discussion to have the event televised and there will also be print media covering the event.
  If you have any questions or want to be a part of this event you can contact the event organisers on

Hey guys the regs for the Brisbane Stadium Race are now available on www.offroadracing.com.au and also on our website www.stadiumoffroad.com or we can post them to you if you need.
Advertising has started on 4wd tv, channel 10 advertising will start about 3 weeks before the event and Nova 106.9 radio ads will start at about the same time.
There will be a media day on the Thursday before the event for any competitors that would like to be a part of it, just contact the organisers.
Don`t forget that if you want to compete then you will need to upgrade your licence with a medical. See CAMS website for details. We will refund you the cost of you medical on the night.

    just booked the medical and spoke to cams it has to be one of there approved docs  he said it will cost $165 per person furious

Stadium Licences have always required a medical and it was a big deterent in the past.
These medicals are NOT covered by medicare which is to cover sick people.
The reason given for medical requirement for stadium racing is it is much more intense physically than Long Course or Short Course.
Unless you are pretty fit, you pretty well fall out of your car at the end of a race. (Well I did anyway) Heart rate up around 160-170. That is why they ask for an ECG stress test.

Garry, i think both are in trouble. Fatty, Chest-clutcher. I have my Advanced resus Cert. I can administer oxygen and use external defib, I'll be your medic for the night.weirdface Mmm maybe not, I'll just go along and spectate.biggrin

  heart rate 160/170 thats mine when im sleeping ,we were going to see who was fastest in practice, and that would be the one that races, but we mite do it on heart rate see who has the highest and that we can save a couple of tenths at the startfurious
