That would have been a good buy, that car would give alot of extreme 2wd a run for there money... If I hadn't already started on my project I would have bought it.

Blitzkrieg motorsports do a I-Beam into hilux conversion and l used to be the Total Chaos agent for Aus you can get kits just as good but cheaper if you look around. l bought in a second hand kit which l sold to a guy from W.A it was half the price of a total chaos with King shocks and a heap more. Giant motorsports do some nice kits and glass, as well as amplified performance, camburg, and talk to the guys from Kartek ask for Baja Mike he will help you as much as he can.
boyd im not shore how much overside the gaurds are but we run 8'' rims with 3'' offset and a 1'' spacer and the gaurds dont touch so it s a fair bit and yes we will be running it as a class 4
Ian are you looking at using A-ARM or a twin I-BEAM SETUP?
wrong boyd,
but yes it would be a-arm. probally import a kit from the states. need to read more books before building my own.
has any1 ever converted a hilux to twin I-beam?? i assume it would be a ranger style kit??
luke
I have converted a NIssan 720 to twin I-Beam using standard F100 I beams, this produced 16" of wheel travel if you want more than that then it would be easy enough to make a cutom set yourself. It's not a hard conversion thats why I went down that path.
