Who might win 'man of the mountain'?

Looks like Tebba wont be going!
I should be loaded up this weekend, looking forward to it...still not sure of the overheating woes yet!
Prolite class should be strong, I hope to give those hondas a shake up!...I assume Felhaber, Yuska, Hill (hondas), Maybe Gary Simpson (subaru powered now!), Jimbo(mitsu) and his quad bike, Nickiforoff (nissan), are all going? Who else is going?
Heard Buddy & Prouty will be there!
Be good to see the entry list next week, should be a great weekend for all!

Did I miss something? Is'nt Jimbo still running the 2.6 astron engine as usual?
Most of my favs were all cut out years ago (ie the section running parrallel to the putty rd in long course).
Now, probably the section of main rd heading away from the putty rd (after the creek crossing) off the drop and along the paddock fenceline. (long course).
Used to love the fast run under animal leap and along the fenceline to the hairpin (to begin the climb up to animal leap)...but thats been buggered up now with that s-bend thingy!

love the jump near the dam on the shortcourse. actually, love that whole stretch from when you come out of the trees to the hairpin at the end. well, up to the s bend thingy now I guess!

shame about the s bend thingy. why'd it get put in? to slow people down I assume.

Did the drop off section into padock along the fenceline in the baja, when I last ran it with rick it was the opposite direction - you jumped onto the road. good fun too!

Stories?

Well done JT and Holly on 3rd outright - shame for boost (spiz), jones - what happened? only 16 laps completed? 3rds fastest in prologue and all heats all weekend except the long course, so it wasnt slow! Overheat on long course??? All the results say you is that you got a flat.

1887, all laps completed but car seemed a bit slow? Its first serious event in your hands though - teething issues? Or was chest-clutcher driving? (haha! I'm gonna pay for that one!)

Azteck - did you go up sat to hang over the fence?

it was a bit slow, but we worked out that with out tyres that hold air you dont go real quick, 3 bloody flats in the long course ,it sucked but we did finish which is what we started out to do,our crew worked there ring out all weekend to get us to the finish, but the truck has lots more develoment in it so it will only get better .furious

I had a great deal of fun at milbrodale for my first race there, the short track really suited my little buggy ,and we some how manage to set decent times. I would like to thank garry simpson for the use of his race suit on sunday ,though i didnt finish i will be back next year.

Great weekend! Decided not to sell my set up now...got me all enthused again.
Touched a rock in the 5th long course lap, not long after getting past Paul Allport and just starting to reel-in Pagey. This caused a flat back tyre...and I (in some form of great wisdom) decided not to take a spare with me, so we called it a day.
Congrats to all the finishers?
Did you know that Shock absorber oil smell(leaking from the l.h.f. shock on my buggy), can cause your navigator to vomit in his helmet (actually my helmet)? That was werners excuse anyway!
Bloody engine still overheats, Gary Simpsons motor seems to have the same problem...any help still appreciated.

Hi Jones.

Have you thought of contacting any of the Subaru rally teams at all?  Not saying that they can help you, but maybe they have a few tricks that they use to help them with cooling?

Was it any better then it was previously?

Car still overheats - is it any better at all? Cant beleive you didnt finish due to a flat tyre - 1887 went through 4 and they finished! Soft jones - very soft... Well done though, you obviously had fun. :)

Werner - dont feel bad mate, you'll only get ribbed for 4, 5 years tops for puking in your helmet. hehe... must be that track huh.

I wasnt aware of the current cams requirements when it came too wearing race suits,i still was using overalls, anyway i ended up buying the suit of garry simpson afterall. Why the none finish?coming to the top of roller coaster at a fare speed the steering wheel decided not to function which sent us straight into a huge boulder(scary stuff). The best part of the track is from the bottom of animal leap all the way round to the bottom of rollercoaster.the rough parts of the track was throwing us pillar to post in our little buggy.but still i had a great weekend .
