At the NSW Panel meeting yesterday we discussed our concerns about the number of competitors and officials who may not be aware of releases of the lasted CAMS Manual (it updates online 4 times a year, 4th quarter due in October), updates to bullets, new regulations, and things like State Exc elections, closing dates for nominations for panels, NSW Pointscore etc etc .Not everyone goes to Club meetings or sees a NSW Panel rep or talks to AORC commissioner to get updated information. We know everyone is busy, and building, repairing and preparing your Vehicle is so much more important than reading the rules about how to build, repair or prepare Right??? Wrong!!!! How would you feel if at the next race you went to, you weren't allowed to run because your dust light is wired incorrectly, you dont have boots that comply with GR Schedule D Apparel (d) Off Road or worst yet the event is cancelled because clubs dont have the correct updated paperwork completed?
Please check out www.CAMS.com.auand update your self with the important things, check out the left hand side of the home page, click into NSW, and you will find minutes of the NSW ORAP panel meeting and the NSW Point score. CAMS have now also started an E-news letter (one newleter for all CAMS affiliated motor sports). On the CAMS Home page is the link to the letter, go in and register, and then you will get the latest CAMS news letter emailed to you every month. A lot of people read the forumso that why we decided to post this message here, but again I stress this is not an official site and not the place to ensure you and your competition vehicle complies with the latest rules. Check out www.CAMS.com.au you never know, some of the continue might even be interesting, not to mention useful.
