Talk to Nigel (Was 145 once) or (NSWclass2) or whatever he is now, he had a great job done at Narellan I think, & very reasonable from what I can remember. I think It was blasted & powdercoated at the same place.

I used Peter Snell's Protective Coatings also in Narrellan/ Smeaton Grange.

He did a great job on a very difficult frame (Heaps of tubing) took him a day for each coat just making sure it was all covered. Blasting a zinc coat (Water proof) then colour was $1500.00. I can't fault the job in anyway and nothing has been missed.

That will look great and it will hide any cracks if they were to appear very nicely. biggrin

That's the only reason I picked the colour I did, just incase it did start to crack I could see them easily.

Yep, they were my thoughts as well. Black looks great, but you can't see what is going on. Not sure how easy it will be to see cracks in some of the more difficult to see/access areas.

We always went for a bright/light colour so you could see cracks, etc.

Hey wolf hope you ndercoated it after it was blasted ?
powdercoat is pourus and moisture will eventually get under it
especially around stone chip's, remember to use a zinc rich high temp primer
the powdercoating oven should be good for 200 degrees C otherwise disaster

hope this help's smile

we actually decided not to as the zinc makes it harder to weld to later. starting to sound like I should have asked more questions!
