floor pan


can anybody give me a ruling
do you have to have a false floor under your pedals and seat have looked through cams book but cant find any hard and fast ruling

You don't need a false floor but at least need a floor that will stop anything going through it.

We used 3mm aluminium and another 3mm false floor under the pedals and fuel tank.

We used 3mm with the pedals bolted to the floor. It takes a fair amount of effort to tear through it.

We tore through the 3mm floorpan on the old car..... A big, sharp rock right under the nav seat while rick was in it! hahahaha!

And yep, you're right. It took alot to rip a 6" tear in the floor .

marine grade is a higher tensile can go thinner for more strength

Does high tensile strength give it better puncture resistance ? Not trying to be smart, but would like to know.
