I see the entry list is looking healthy with still 3 weeks before the race. I see Danny Browns name entered in a Chenowth is that Shannon Rentsch old car.
Talking to Owee last night to hear there were 17 entries off the top of his (and his sons) head that were missing and expected to enter. Then I imagine the usual bunch that leave it up to the last minute.

For those of you who have WINTV, at 10.00am today on "Susie" there will be a Donald 500 special, featuring Mark Burrows from his shed and some action from last years race. Susie drives a "BEAST" on the show as well...hope you can catch it!

Az l actually caught the last 20 sec of the show when she drives off and scares the shit out of herself when she gives the Beast a squirt. l wondered what the hell it was all about thanks for sharing.
Maybe Aztek is correct that the car does have handling issues......obviously it cant be the driver!!! The Suzie show, and the Donald preview, was a great idea by the Donald organisers and can only be good for the sport. Well done Aaron for the trouble of taking the beast to wollongong for the shoot (approx 2 hr drive).
Yeah mark burrows would have to be favourite,as he won the event last year, and would know the track quite well. 1st:mark burrows,2nd:Brian robinson,3rd:bruce chapman. thats punt 4 results, fare chance i could be way wrong, with so many contenders .
Mark actually won the event in 2006,he didn't run at Donald last year as he was at Hyden.
Still a good chance I think... when he ran at Donald he seemed to like the track and he lapped very consistently. Always hard to go past Shannon and Dave Fellows being right up there...
Donald was a great race, lots of very, very good cars there. Dave drove a very smart race, doing enough to stay in front and taking it easy on the car, a really good, calculating drive. One of the drives of the weekend for me was Daniel Brown in the Chenowth for the first time. If it were not for a flat tyre on Saturday and then some engines problems on the last lap, he would have been really pressuring the top guys for a podium position.
I will have photos up on my website within the next few days. I just have so many to sort through that it will take me a few days to get them up on there (approximately 2800 to go through from the weekend!!).
The website is temporarily down at present, but it should be back up very shortly.
Yep, Daniel Brown did exceptionally well. He was pretty dissapointed when he crossed the line at the end of Sunday, as he was probably heading for 4th outright. For me the drive of the weekend was Brett Taylor, 4th Outright. The most dissapointing thing for me over the weekend was seeing Trevor Copeland retiring on the last lap after driving brilliantly to get well inside the top 10. Just a simple small mistake by Trevor when he touched a gate post. I was thrilled however to see Ben and Kelly Erceg manage to get the car home on the last lap with only about 2 minutes of late running time to go after travelling the last half a lap with only 1st gear. Another good consistent drive from Nev Taylor into the top 10 and also Chris Western as well. The low point of the weekend of course was the accident on Saturday and although i don't have a lot of detail, i understand that the injured navigator had an operation yesterday and should make a full recovery?
Finally the pictures from the Donald 500 are now up at www.sunphoto.ifp3.com
Hopefully you will find some pictures that you like. If you have lots and lots of time, you can view all of the pictures, otherwise you can search for particular drivers. For example, if you type "Bruce Chapman Donald" into the search bar, it will return all photos of Bruce form this event.
If you have any comments, feedback, suggestions, etc I would love to hear them.
