I see the finke entries are low at the moment (except for bikes). But the prolite entries are pretty good this round, maybe this may silence some critics. (3rd highest class entries, more than super 1650 even!)
I have to say I agree.... With not racing any more, I had a glance through the Mildura regs and thought the entry fee was pretty high. But, I don't know how it compares to other National evets, and I don't know the details of all of the costs behind running the event. Interesting to note as well that there is only three laps this year as opposed to the four that were always run previously.
hyden: $450 early then $550 donald: $520 finke: $660 early then $770 mildura: $700 early then $800 then add fuel, food and other expenses and mildura and finke add up to expensive weekends, maybe thats something pato should put in the survey, but thats just my opinion
I suppose it all depends on what you get for your dollar. Would you consider Mildura to be a $200 better event than Donald. The same as is Donald a $100 better event than Hyden. Although the entry fees for Hyden and Finke almost pale into insignificance at the cost to get there knocks out almost all those where the extra $100 is a make or break item.
