hey guys check out the new you tube stadium off road .So whos racing and whos going to win?the truck and off road race car feilds are starting to look healthy with a few comming out of the wood work and few brand new cars as well.I will start an unoffical entry list here soon check out the web site as well www.stadiumoffroad.com.au
The Tamworth Stadium Offroad Race offers exciting racing for competitors in front of spectators and TV cameras. Stadium Offroad offers classes for trucks, buggies, 4x4's and quads, the track is going to be wider to allow for bigger desert style buggies and trucks and for more racing room. So upgrade your license and come along for a run and have some fun. contact: chris.hutton440@hotmail.com or David Parsons on 0428421123 or visit www.stadiumoffroad.com.au
im racing the ex wilson jimco ryan is racing his new chev mid mount buggy that just missed top ten at gundy chappo is in his jimco there is also a good field of beam cars 4wds and stadium trucks. any one who has not raced a stadium hasnt raced. in my 30 years plus it is the most exciting part of our sport and if i thought that this event was going to be like the crash and bash events of the previous promoter i wouldnt be there.so any body who is thinking about competing do yourself a favour and call chris and if you dont compete come and spectate and wish you did.
Tamworth Showground arena is a lot bigger than most Speedway complexes (like the Newcastle Motordrome) so the track hopefully will be more open..
If you can get along you should.....
I'll have my video camera there to catch the action and will post some clips on YouTube (thats the plan anyway....)
ps : good number of Kempsey Macleay Off Road Club Members heading over for a look too.....
Talking with Darren Stocks down at Nabiac last weekend and he indicated that if he finished the Nabiac event OK he would enter the Tamworth Stadium Race. Since he won Nabiac he should be a starter at Tamworth in the Buggy class.....Stocks competed at the last Archefield Stadium Off Road Race...
Like Rod said the show ground at Tamworth is a big area so that combine with TPE building the track it should be an awsome event. Only problem is ill be in Adelaide this weekend so ill miss Hoppy handing out an ass whipping.
Look forward to seeing all you guys there..... and its not too late to call chris hutton and enter and race... Like previously said in this thread stadium racing is the most exciting form of racing we have..... thats if you`re not scared that is..... lol

What a top night out that was - well worth the trip. My boys want to know when the next one is, they had a ball. It was good clean racing with no more carnage than any other race we do. Certainly not like American events. I spoke to a few drivers who were spectators on the night and they are keen to give the next one a go now they know how much fun it is and little damage to their cars.

was a great event, organisors helped greatly with licence upgrade, needed medical but wasnt a problem really, and only need one for the upgrade then its valid till your 45. Was an enphisis on keeping the racing clean with penalties for not doing so, and track built so as not to wreck cars, even the 711 lada didnt break. Would reccomend for everyone to have a run at echo valley in feb 09!!! you wont be disapointed.
2nd that ladaman. Chris ,Hayley, Dave and everyone else involved have done an awesome job in putting on what was a fantastic night for not only the competitors but the whole family. My wife and kids wrecken it was the most fun they have had at an offroad race all year. All we need now is more people to get involved. Yes the track was built to suit all cars but still very challenging and i drove my standard production suzuki grand vitara and after some trying couldnt break it either. So everyone put down next Feb in your plans for next year and get there with your cars or buggies and if by some reason you cant get your race car there then bring your family and friends to watch because you will definitely have a kick ass time !!
Just added the final 3 Tamworth videos (Buggies, 4x4's, Quads) to the Videos page at www.kempseyoffroadracing.net
For those interested there is a small video at the bottom right side of the Videos page showing some Stadium type racing (Demonstration?) from Adelaide earlier this year.....
