Aluminium Radiator

We need to buy an aluminium radiator for the car, can't afford to buy a PWR radiator so can anyone suggest a good alternative. Would like to buy one with fans already fitted.

You cant go wrong with a factory commodore/falcon radiator.
The fans alone move more air than just about all aftermarket ones.
Also the most commodores have the cap on the radiator while the falcon have a remote reservoir.
Hope this helps.

Do the commodore radiators have plastic or alloy tanks, if they do have plastic has anyone had problems with them cracking.

We have run a commodore radiator for years in 3 different cars and have never had a problem with them cracking, and have been great for air flow and heaps easy to mount

we're using an XR8 falcon rad. Its plastic, no cap but lots of holes to plug up. bought off ebay with fans for cheap cheap cheap.

Next time I'll look at afco.

I used a ford ef (same as xr6 & 8's), mainly because its got really good thermo fans and thermo fan mounts. Also all avail aftermarket and reasonably cheap.
But it has no radiator cap, and the lower radiator mounts are a bit arkward, also it has a fitting in the tank that may need to be blocked.
I since upgraded to a 'bolt-in' PWR radiator to suit, but that was about $1000. PWR make full alloy radiators to suit most production vehicles.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply, first chance to get to a comp.

We used a VN radiator, and used the two pins at the side and the two at the bottom. Very simple to mount and also very secure.

Cheers

Guys take a look on ebay there are  plenty of new Alloy Radiatiors both in OZ and from the US.

I got a 31" wide twin pass all alloy radiator (New) delivered to my front door for $320.00 AUD.

Here's a new Alloy VL Crummy Rad (VL's are twin pas) on ebay $325.00

I used a standard one of these with a single thermo and that kept my old 351Windsor cool.
