Kelvin Hill,The Cripps's, Honey,Farmer,James Kearle,Walker,Simon Lennox in his new car (ex Cliff Alderton) & brother in law in new car he found at Tamworth(I think that's where he found it),Jeff Thomas,Gordon Tardrew, & a red class 4 & a pink Class 4, Steve Taylor ect, TOP GEAR Magazine will be there covering it & Web Video will be filming it all as well, The track has been extended with some interesting bits to keep entrants on their toes' Kelvin Hill bought his excavator up to do some track work for us and WOW he knows his stuff with his toy. Kelvin has really left his mark on the track,we now have drains and all sorts of things to make things stay in place for this event and in the future as well.Kelvin also helped in the design of the new additions to lengthen the track. Are you coming , it's gunna be a top event .The Saturday night Dinner is on again plus all the tall tales and true stories from the legendary west and maybe some Video footage of what happened
It's a sad thing that thew older we get the small bits of car damage seem to take longer to fix, or is it that it is easier to fix them the closer you leave them to the next deadline, anyway said small bits will be done in time to get to Colo next week. I would like to place an order for cool but not cold, some drizzle for dust control but not rain, NO FLIES! I don't ask for much. See you all there.
Come on 260, don't tell me your enthusiasum has Wayned! James Kearle? sounds very Pukka! I think we should just call him Jimbo. Farmer??I guess thats Murray as the other farmer only races at Crookwell. Top Gear Magazine....Crap! keep those guys away from me! Oh! 260, the Big Guy tells me the weather order is no problem...but even he can't do anything about the flies at Colo!
Aaron, Knowing your problems with media,we will organise other vehicles for demos. but if its OK with you after the meeting is over would it be possible to take a picture of your car? The flies have used the property last weekend & are going up there again this weekend to give us a fly free two days of racing on the 15/16th November!
adz aus Course we will,Why not give The Event Director a ring and let her know you might be,it will give us a better idea on how many we will have to scrutineer and you might get your name in program,tf you don't make it with the car you can still come and maybe give a hand? Gav,Saturday or Sunday are both good, Saturday starts a little later .Prologue at 9:30am then lots of racing then stick around for tall stories,Videos & then Dinner. Roast Lamb,Roast Beef And all the usuall stuff that goes with it.plus desert,(you know Pav/mudcake/cheesecake & icecream) and you could camp overnight or head home for your own bed,

It was an excellent weekend but very tough. And as Az said it was really rought towards the end. 20 something cars ended up finishing. Engine drama was one of the big killers Allong with the useall. We manged to make a very bad mess of the gearbox on the last lap but still finished.

Jones, lets just say I had better weekends, but still happy with the result. Managed to keep my 100% finish rate for the year. However even with the problems we encountered, I had no answer for the pace at the front of the field. A big hats off to Buddy Crowe, he is driving that car very well and deserves a victory soon...he's a bloody good bloke too!
Car is still in good shape, may get to Crookwell in a few weeks!
Here Here Azteck, a big hand for Bunny. Amazing sportsmanship by him and a good drive.
And congradulations! to you Azteck from Dad and I for finishing every Round this year (That is deffinatley NOT an easy thing to.) And for your win. A massive achievement I would say. There was a lot of tough competiton this year. Great Job!!

Cheers Guys, If someone had come up to me at the start of the year and said "Azteck, you will finish every race this year and win the championship" I would have said "go away you funny little man"....but thats what happened, and I'm stoked. I guess the only disappointing thing was I didn't win a race, but there's always next year.
I would like to congratulate all the competitors who campaigne the state championship, it is a huge commitment to get to all 7 rounds, I don't know how you guys do it year after year...well done!
i think it was the best racing i have seen for a long time. i'm sure everyone that was there would have to agree.
some highlights include:
3 wide heading toward the jump on the straight (there where flying tyres from a tyre wall) azteck doing a donuts on the back straight behind the starting line. azteck breaking steering on back straight and parking in middle fixing and carrying on to finish the heat.
the track is now stuffed and will need lots of helpers in the new year to fix it up. we hope you all enjoy the new track it may require a bit of fine tune yet.
thanks to all the organise and the other volunteers for making it such a good weekend.
I can only add that Buddy Crowe won the Prologue. Everything else has been covered other than to say Thank You to Neil and Simon Lennox of Lenlord 4WD Sales for sponsoring the Event (along with all our other sponsors) and teeing up the McGrath Foundation. I hope all the effort is worthwhile. Stay tuned for the DVD highlites and finished product. Sorry youve got my ugly face to watch again.
Thanks Dusteater, We hope everyone had a good weekend, and like to congratulate all of our new State Champions. Just a quick thank you to everyone involved, especially Nick & Wayne our friendly (but hard) friday night scrutineers (hope we are still friends guys). As with all of our races, our volunteers are the ones who really enable us to race, & as always, our weekend racing just would not happen without our Patron, Ian Irons. I dont think anyone realises just what he does behind the scenes. Thanks Ian.
Big thank you to the McIintosh family, your awsome trailer full of bits & pieces nearly got me around for the whole weekend! Cheers, Shane, Gary & Sue - couldnt ask for better neighbours.
