Bellhousing's


Can anyone tell me the difference between the 1800 kombi and 2lt bellhousing's. Also l have been told that a 2lt bellhousing and the 930 porsche are the same can anyone tell me for sure.

the first 3 digits of the part no.
002 - is for the 1800
091 - is for the 2000
and i belive they have differant dia fly wheels ,
002 - 200 mm
091 - 225 mm

not 100% sure about the 930 ,though i've got a mate using
his old uni cap adaptor from his kombi onto his new 930 box
whith no mods to the adaptor

Also be careful with your depths. Dad and I got court out with this old trick before.
A 2L bellhousing actually is deeper than 1600,1800 Bellhousing so therefore if your set up for a 1600 or 1800 Bellhousing and Flywheel. Putting a 2L bellhousing on makes your box longer and drags your starter motor away from the flywheel.
The Bolting lugs on the 2L bellhosing are actually longer aswell.
