Its Showtime for Australian Off Road Racing
Wednesday, 18 March 2009
Prime your plasma TVs, the high adrenaline, heart pumping action of the 2009 Australian Off Road Championship is about to leap in to the lounge rooms of Australians. The five round championship which has often been dubbed Australias best kept motorsport secret, will finally be able to step into the limelight, with 8 half hour shows scheduled to be run on Channel Tens new HD Channel, One. Featuring some of the worlds most technologically advanced offroad race cars, which range from turbo charged desert racers and Chevy powered Trophy Trucks to Production and Extreme 4WDs, there is a category to suit all tastes.
Produced by Off Road Promotions in association with Conflict Films, the AORC television series will launch with a 2009 Championship Preview in late April, followed by coverage of the season opening ARB Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 a week later.
With a number of new cars and teams poised to compete in the AORC this season the Off Road Promotions production could not have been timed better. The level of commitment from teams and promoters has come up a notch and it will be rewarding for them to share their passion with a much wider audience. Commented AORCom Chairman Ben Erceg, continuing;
ORRinc is very pleased to enter into this partnership with the team from ORP. Their passion and love of the sport is obvious and with the experience gained through the filming of the 3 Journeys Series for Foxtels FuelTV in 2008, they are well placed to help the sport develop at all levels.
We have a very exciting year ahead of us. Said Offroad Promotions Clayton Taylor
While Television coverage is a dream come true for diehard offroad fans that already have dust pumping through their veins, we are looking forward to raising the profile of the whole Australian Off Road Championship and taking motorsport in the dirt, to a brand new audience. Bringing exposure to this exciting racing category that it so richly deserves. He continued.
Great work offroad promotions and conflict films this is great for our sport, just wondering though will this just be on ten HD or is tens rpm show going to do some coverage of the races. With the stadium races that are starting up at the moment and the AORC tv coverage this could be a great year to promote our sport australias best kept motorsport secret. once again great work lets get the secret out there!!!!!
Well done and congratulations to Clayton and Tammy Taylor (offroad promotions) and the boys at Conflict films, Tony, Petri and Sam and also Fridge and Irish. You guys are pro`s and the passion that you all have for what you are doing truley shows in the first class productions we have seen from you. Also congratulations to AORCOM for having faith in Offroad Promotions and Conflict Films and awarding them the filming rights for this year and hopefully the years to come. Well done!!! What these guys have done has put our sport in the eyes of the public and also potential sponsors and commercial partners. It is the first step in getting our sport where most of us want it to be and fulfilling the potential we all know it has. But its not just up to them, we all need to get behind them in whatever way we can, to help achieve the best for our sport and our teams..
ONCE AGAIN WELL DONE AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
