At the risk of upsetting people, is there any chance of updating the home page entry pics, I admit they are very fine looking cars and even if it was mine I would have probably got over looking at it by now.
As a first point of contact it looks like nothing has happened since 2007

Valid suggestion & I agree it's a fantastic site & they are fine looking cars! If new pictures are needed maybe Wolf could get those lovely elf ladies to do a photo shoot for me? err I mean the club! I'm sure that people would notice the change & there would be a lot of repeat visitor's to the site.
i'm sure the club would be intrested in an update of the front page maybe some people with computer ablity could do up what they think it should be post it up here and the club could vote on it what they like.
also i'm thinking of redoing the banner at the top of the forum so anyone want to have a crack at that to. please keep it the same size and must contain " sydney offroad racing assoc". and the website "sorra.offroadracing.com.au" also must have something to do with the club and offroad racing. just post it up here
Seeing that I am the person responsible for the SORRA webpage I suppose I am the most qualified to answer this post. I think it was about 2 years ago I became webmaster and back then I updated the front page on a reqular basis, back then there were lots of people at races regularly taking pictures. When you have current photos of cars its very easy to keep that page up to date. Since then I have not been sent 1 photo of anyones car that has won a race ( despite numerous requests to the winning drivers BTW I cannot use copyright pictures unless they are sent to me by the photographer ) I have spoken to a few people within the club about this and they most actually enter ( bookmark ) the news page not the entry page so we did not see it as that big an issue, though saying this I can see your point for people entering the site from the offroadracing site. So I suppose from here one of a few things can happen..... I can make it so that everyone enters the page from the news page ( which means some people will have to reset their bookmarks ) or I can change the page so that it has maybe just the club logo on it, if winners want to see their cars on the photos up in lights then they NEED to send a photo, after all I am only the webmaster I can only put up the info given to me. Tell me what you think

PS......I usually manage to update everything that is sent to me about the page within a day or two ( or a week at the most .... hey I am a working mum !! ) I know that Garry had the sorra site as a very interesting and informative group of pages but since it was handed over to me I have only on two occassions recieved anything to update the page as far as race reports , buildups and winners photos (with the exception of SORRA events) and none of those have been in the last 18 months, this is why I removed a stack of pages and now buildups etc have been put onto this forum.

You could just rename the News.htm file to index.htm and it will be the default page. Then just update all your links for News.htm to refer to the index and it's done.
PLease ignore my ramblings, I know nothing about this stuff - lol
