Just been watching old movies from Kurnell Dune buggy club, and Sunraysia from late 60's and 70's.
Firstly, has anyone got any pics or video (moving pictures), of Wandandian in the early 70's (the race in the 80's would also be acceptable) that I could copy?
Also, would anyone know the whereabouts of Bruce Mclintocks(possibly written-off during porno filming) or Roger Walkers (skwalker II) 4WD buggys, built in the early 70's, one had a V8 windsor, the other a 2lt cortina, with blitz transfer cases (apparently they could switch between 2 and 4wd @ 60mph). I think the diffs were datsuns? I assume they have been used as bush bashers since, but any info would be appreciated.....I would like to restore one! (these buggies were sydney based)
Please put the word out, someone has to know where they went to?
Steve, Did you check out the video page on there ,there is a pic of Bruce's 4WD buggy on the cover of SORBA mag from way back. I will check,may have race at Wandandian ,If I find will copy for you.
Thanks Ian, I wonder where that buggy is now? Also, I have pm'd you for you address, I was going to send you a photocopy of the KDBC flag, and some newpaper clipping from when they were trying to ban beach buggies, and a copy of some old footage!
