Such a pity. I saw the car after the fire, though not from very close up, and the damage is extremely high. A real pity. For the first time I had a really close up look at the car on Friday afternoon at scruiteneering and it looked really impressive, the workmanship and equipment on the car was first class.

The main thing is that everyone was ok. Cars can be replaced, people can't.

Commiserations guys, i saw the truck on the side of the track on our second lap and it was a terrible thing to see. But you both got out and thats the main thing. And then to lend us your race fuel so we could finish the event is a true reflection of your character. Hope to see you guys on the track soon.

Thats a heart breaking sight indeed, my deepest sympathy to the Grant family.  We all know how much a part of our lives these machines become, as Mark Paul said... the spoilt 4th child.  I can't imagine the emotion you must have felt to just watch it burn.  Glad to hear you guys are ok, hope its not too long before we see you back in action.

it looks horrible, once they removes the burnt out parts there is not alot left, basically only the front suspension and steering.
