tie rod end reamer


does any one know where i can buy a tappered reamer to suit
international tie rod ends ,
as im not to happy with the tappered bore on my new combo's
the rod end only sits in the top half of the tapper ,
im told they where made to suit the inter rod end ,

Hi Jeremy. I made mine & i'm sure you are clever enough to  as well. I just got an old thread tap I didn't use any more with enough meat on it, measured the taper you need & then grind on a lathe to that taper being sure to get all 4 cutting edges the same shape. Then go to a good grind stone & grind back from your new cutting edges the same as if you were sharpening a drill. This new tool will work great in a drill press or hand drill on low speed with some cutting oil to the depth required. I did this because of the dumb looks you get at a tool shop when asking for a tapered reamer.

im sure i can find an old tap at work that would be perfect for that ,
as it's not mine , lol
yeah i had the same dumb looks also !!

ps, im suprised wolf hasn't made some kind of comment about rod ends and reamers
being in the same sentence !!
