2010 APPAREL REQUIREMENTS

can some one who has read these please confirm that i have read the following correct.

all i need to buy to go racing is

a snell sa2005 so i don't have to wear/buy a balaclava.
a race suit to FIA 1986
my elastic-sided work boots
some cotton underwear

and thats all is this correct.

Offroad at state level =

Helmet =AS1698 or FIA 8860-2004
Head restraint = not mandatory but FIA approved device recommended
Outer wear = single layer or above
Under wear = not mandatory but recommended
Balaclava = only if your helmet is a FIA standard helmet is used
Footwear = level A or elastic sided boots that cover the ankle
Socks = not mandatory but recommended
Gloves =not mandatory but FIA approved gloves recommended

A few corrections  in regards to the following:

Driving suits will need to be a minimum of SFI3.2A/1 single layer or superior SFI standard or FIA 1986, FIA 8856-2000.

 

Helmets to B level must be worn and Flame retardant balaclava is required for helmets NOT in level A.  Please refer to the link Dan has attached (guide to standards at the bottom of the charts)


Please call or email  CAMS or  an AORC-commisioner if  anyone is still unsure about what is required.
