cool thanx Jonesy yep definately running the eg33, i caught up with Greg at the pines and had a bit of look at what he has done in his porsche and looks pretty similar to the 2 l turbos for the cooling system but i will definately give you a call when i get closer to installing pipng ect!! also il be running an ems 8860 ecu you dont know any body that will hand over a copy of their map for me to load up??
yes theyre bob mobray front and rear hubs best value for money by a long shot!!! the midboards actually take the same seals as tatum and even have the same machine marks in them so chances are the same guys making these or copied tatum at the least!!
You have made heaps of progress in such a short time, i remember being at uncle Bobs when the frame was almost done! Those are Tatum hubs, the pic on the rivmasta site shows the back of the hub with a piece of cardboard covering the cv. That cardboard has the part number of the cv on it, its a Tatum thing. I know, i have an eye for stupid details. The Tatum hubs have been popular and havnt heard of any complaints. I realy like the look of a MK5 might buy one, o yes i did, better finish it. Will take some build shots and upload so i am not a build ups lurker. I cant remember the numbers but i think Bob said something like half the frames he has built never get finished, thats a lot of moly and broken dreams sitting in sheds somewhere. Still time and money are not always easy to come by.

You are welcome to my EMS map, I got 170 whp, running map sensor. Lucky you didn't run motec, as they dont like the sensors much! Check out the SVX Worldwide forum, heaps of info there. Main thing for the cooling system is to run a 50mm lower pipe and fabricate a 50mm thermostat housing (running no thermostat or restrictor)

thanx jonesy you are a legend!! adelaide (400kms away) is the closest place to get dynoed so the less they have to do the better so if is just a tickle up on an existing tune less time and money! what did you have to do with ur crank angle sensors and cam sensor ive been told i have to grind of a heap of teeth as the ems cant tell wats going on? also i only have the base wiring and ecu unit wat else do i need?
I think you might hold the Southern Cross record, 2 mk4s and 3 mk5s. would i be right? Or maybe theres a mk3 that i dont know about. Southern Cross Trivia.
lol i think you are correct there andrew and yes there was a mark 3 but i never did actually get to racing that 1 decided i didnt like the bronzed welding!!! guess it was ok in its day!! there is one thing for certain i will be keeping this mark 5!! too much time has been spent building and not racing, someone else always ends up having fun with my hard work! i also have nearly finished the build up of the a-arm mark 4 for me best mate i might post a few pics up of that aswell as it has come up pretty good for a super 1650.........
i must make comment for Brad Zacka me and my mate bought all our shox for our cars and he sprung them perfect!! so well done and thanx Brad!!
Base wiring loom is fine, I have used the motec temp and air temp sensors, and run 3 twin fire bosch modules for the coils. You could run wasted spark if you wish?. (fuel and ignition sequential). I think you can run oem sensors, but will need to be programmed to the EMS.
The 8860 'apparently' dont need to grind off teeth, but I made my crank sensor 3 teeth (mainly for the motec), and found it was better also for the EMS, as my theary is timing belt stretch was casing an 'overlap signal' between the crank and cam sensor.
I also found when wiring, that (from memory) cyl 6 is the cylinder to use for TDC #1.
