hey mate,

I learnt heaps from these two books:
how to make your car handle by fred puhn
chassis engineering by herb adams

good explanatipons on bump steer, ackermann, scrub radius etc. all needed when setting upa suspension!

if you've alreday got your wheels mounted and steering mounts on the spindles you need to work out the bump steer and ackermann by moving the inside steering arm mounts up, down, backwards, forwards and by adjusting the lengths... its pretty complicated!

hi what stage is the buggy up to is it a re build? is all the steering rack and mounts the same?
if so the bump steer should be pretty close if not as mentioned above it can be difficult to get rite.
You have to set front of car up with tyres on tack weld sreering rack on(rack usually works best with small tilt forward and rack mounted abit above top of beam not to far back will give you better angles) have arms conected dont conect shocks, then move tyres up and down to check if there is any pull or push. if there is move steering rack forward, back,up,down to eliminate the push pull effect.
When you think you have it close turn the wheels full lock (this will lower the steering arm make sure it dosent hit bottom frame rail) put wheels were they will sit with shocks on and move up and down with wheels at differrent steering angles..
Hope this helps..this can be time consuming and frustrating best of luck...
