Extreme Motorsport to Sponsor Finke LIVE internet
offroadracing.com.au are pleased to announce a sponsorship deal has been secured with Extreme Motorsport to enable the LIVE Internet broadcast from the 2010 Tattersalls Finke Desert Race on the Queens Birthday June long weekend to go ahead.
Were very excited to have Extreme Motorsports on board for the LIVE Internet broadcasts. This will allow us to do some new and exciting things to keep everyone interested said Julie Rogers, offroadracing.com.au administrator.
Extreme Motorsport are a Brisbane based enterprise who specialise in high end motorsport products. We thought this was a unique advertising opportunity which will get our message direct to the motorsport enthusiast, commented Peter Knowles, Extreme Motorsport General Manager. Well have some super specials that will only be advertised through the LIVE Internet coverage. There will be something for either the on road or off road racer.
The Extreme Motorsport LIVE Internet coverage will broadcast through offroadracing.com.au the Track PA with commentators Rusty and Jodie Bell of Real Balls Promotions for the entirety of the event. The broadcasts are scheduled to begin 15 minutes before the event start each day and continuing until the last bike has finished.
Rusty and Jodie Bell will be conducting email competitions with an assortment of giveaways. I really get a kick out of the email competitions; it confirms that people are listening locally and from all parts of the globe said Rusty Bell. People listening in really seem to enjoy the feeling of being trackside.
The Extreme Motorsport LIVE Internet coverage will also include Typed Commentary for the car component of the event; a great way to get in depth observations of the days action.
The LIVE Internet broadcasts from Australian Off Road Championship events are gaining in popularity with over 140,000 hits on the Track PA for Round 1, the ARB Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 held on the Easter weekend in the Western Australian wheat belt. Connection data from the server shows that people are listening in from countries including the USA, Sweden, UK, Vietnam, Thailand, New Zealand, South Africa and every corner of Australia.
In another first, offroadracing.com.au will be pushing the technology boundaries and broadcasting live to the internet a mid-event catch up show, Behind the Wheel, from Sporties Cafe and Restaurant at 7pm central time on Sunday night.
Behind the Wheel will be hosted by Rusty Bell with a panel of guests to offer their opinions on the days happenings. Jodie Bell and Murray Rogers will be back from their trip to Finke and will have interviews from crews who make it to Finke and report on the latest happenings. The the Wells Brothers, Glenn and Darren, who have been involved with the sport for several decades will add history and insight to the panel.
Jodie bell said were still pinning down guests for Behind the Wheel, but it is taking shape. There should be something for everyone, with some interesting stories for our guests.
An open invitation is extended to supporters who are left behind in Alice Springs on the Sunday night on the Queens Birthday long weekend to come along to Sporties Cafe and Restaurant and watch the 7.00pm central time debut broadcast of Behind the Wheel, bought to you by Extreme Motorsport. Please support Sporties and make a booking for dinner and make a night of it.
For this internet service to continue for the remaining rounds of the 2010 Australian Off Road Championship, offroadracing.com.au are looking to secure sponsorship for the three events.

Cheers Chris Western. 401
I also thought it was brilliant...I had a function that night, but I took my laptop and listened in the car for a while, just wish I could have listened to the whole lot. Very professional, like they had been doing it for years, and would have come across to a non-offroad audience well, very entertaining. 'Eat your heart out' sports tonight!
The Wells brothers have been our commentators at the Pines for quite a few years now and they are brilliant. This year we have them back again as well as Rusty and Jodie Bell, should be a great team !
