Still thinking about it?
Might take up buggy on display to sell?

I heard Swan is going, and maybe Simpson with the new Alumicraft, should be a good prolite field?

These days there are 2 Tri-series. 1 at National level and 1 that sort of slots in between Club and State. The NSW Tri-series started back in the early/mid 1980s before there was a NSW Championship. It began as a three race series at the three club tracks in NSW at the time, Colo, Dondingalong (Kempsey), and Raymond Terrace. Each round was organised by the club that ran each circuit,i.e. SORRA (or SRVA as it was known then), KMORC and Newcastle Motor Racing Club. So essentially it was a short course race series run over 3 rounds which also scored points for each club. The Tri-series was so successful it formed the basis for the NSW Off Road Championship which began in 1989. The Tri-series is today run at Dondingalong, Milbrodale and Nabiac and whilst overshadowed by the NSW Championship is a good stepping stone from club level to state level. These days Maurie Fuller looks after the Tri-series I think.

Is this a SORRA club round or not???
Im in two minds on whether to attend Milbrodale or not. I know there's a tri series and i know its a state round, but as a SORRA club member, and a newbie at that, what am i racing for???
Do i concerntrate on competeing against our club members i do i try to run over everything in sight?????
Am i racing for points for the club or for myself?
Help plz
Dates and days for scutineering dont match up!

Yes it is a SORRA club round, so points will be up for grabs for the SORRA club championship.

I believe you will automatically score points for the tri-series which are also used to determin the winning club, but unless you race one of the other rounds, it won't really get you anywhere individually in that series. ( But sometime you can be lucky)

Just to confuse you more, I believe it is also the second round of the NSW long coarse championship, the first being Wittitrin (however it is spelt) and the third Warialda.

It's a great event to race at and a perfect stepping stone to the bigger races.

Scrutineering for Sydney is always held on the Monday prior to the race, but you can choose to be scrutineered at the track I think at a sparrows fart Sat morn.

You can choose to be scrutineered at Milbrodale but only if you let them know in writing beforehand

SCRUTINEERING
Kempsey Kempsey Discount Tyres Wednesday 17th August 5.30pm -7pm
Singleton Singleton Exhaust Wednesday 17th August 5pm 6pm
Sydney A&K Automotive Monday 15th August 6pm 8pm
Warialda Hwy Service Centre Thursday 18th August 6.30pm- 7pm
Crookwell Dick Allport Spares Wednesday 17th August 5.30pm -6.30pm
Taree Manning Valley Cranes Wednesday 17th August 5.pm-6.30pm

Any person unable to have their vehicle scrutineered at these times/ venue nominated, may have their vehicles scrutineered at the
track prior to the event by PRIOR ARRANGEMENT in writing to the secretary. If possible scrutineering may be conducted at the Track Friday evening.

you can,  but from all the notices going out from Milbrodale, the better option is to postal vote before you go, as the school will already be at capacity without additional out-of-towners

ELECTION VOTING

To avoid long delays at Milbrodale's voting centre please organise to vote prior to race weekend (21st-22nd August) as Milbrodale only has a small voting centre, which is normally very busy. Early voting has commenced for voters unable to vote on election day. For more information on how to register an early vote please go to http://www.aec.gov.au/About_AEC/Media_releases/e2010/02-08.htm or alternatively apply for a postal vote at any Australian Post Outlet, on the AEC Website or click here for a PDF application form.
