nissan stx 4x4 problems


I am looking for info on any one that has had engine problems with the 2.4 turbo diesel  stx  My one has what looks like a blown head gasket which cooked the engine  32thou ks   I have been told of one other with the same problem .  While towing my race car to the dyno it pumped all the coolant out through the recovery bottle i don't have an answer from nissan yet on why I can only hope it gets fixed under warranty nissan are supose to be hard to deal with

I haven't heard anything, but I'll ask around the traps.

It was probably protesting the fact you've got a Honda in the racecar...

Work at a Toyota and Nissan dealership and know of many cases of clutch and cooling issues with Navara. Check the egr cooler. If cracked it causes exhaust gas to leak into the engine coolong system pressurizing the system and combustion gasses in the coolant

Question answered by nissan a blown head gasket and no warranty because it dosn't have the right nissan radiator cap on it So to all nissan owners out there be carefull

your repairer is after a quick buck. i bet he never even tried for a warranty autherization just looked for a good out to charge you more for the job than what he would get from nissan for a warranty claim.

Wouldn't they have to be able to prove that the "aftermarket" radiator cap was the cause of the problem? Just because it is on there does not mean it necessarily caused the issue. Was it the same rating as the standard cap, etc?
