What a fantastic promotion for off road racing with the coverage of Griffith on Speedweek on Sunday. Congratulations to the Griffith organisers for their courage and committment to our sport. It is such a pity therefore that we almost certainly will not see the Griffith event on the calander next year. A great loss to the Australian Off Road Championship and in particular the New South Wales competitor base.
Now come on!!! You don't need someone like me from interstate telling you guys what is going on in your own backyard do you? Well maybe you do? Griffith will not be run next year, i thought everyone knew that? The guys at Griffith have had enough and have chosen not to run the event next year or have certainly not applied for a National Round for 2006.

Now thats a roaring bloody shame.
An event that well organised (and that well publisiced, and getting the backing of the city of Griffith, and, and, and...) obviously takes alot of work. If they've chosen not to run a national next year I guess its understandable.
Thier previous efforts are to be congratulated. Thanks to all the organisors, volunteers and land owners for what is always a great event.

From what I understand the event WILL be run, but just not as a national. I figure it is much easier on the organisers if they can run it the way they like.
