It is with some sadness that another Off Roader has passed away. Those of you who were involved with the sport in Sydney during the 1980s may remember Jeff Boyd. Jeff ran a Class 4 Baja for a number of years during this period mainly at Club Level but did compete at The National Round held at Dubbo in 1985. Jeff was a member of the now defunct Sydney Off Road Buggy Association and was very active in the club during the 80s. Jeff passed away in hospital on Sunday afternoon from health complications at age 48. He is survived by his 3 children Jessica, Michael and Sarah and brother Steve. I was Jeffs navigator for most of this period and together we built our first off road race car together. Rest in Peace Jeff.
