This is an oportunity for the Mini Buggies to get a social run and give a hand officialling . The more we can get to become officials the sooner we'll be able to hold Mini Buggy social days on our own.
Next SORRA Club race is the Night/Day race on 6/7th August. Mark it in the diary, itsgunna be a beauty. This is the event to test your cars readiness for the Milbrodale State round and help our Club in its preparation for our State round.
We have a working bee on the 30/31st August to help in preparation. Come and give a hand if you are able. lots to do . Don't be bashfull, we need you!

i guess it be good if i stay the night then. i had i no idea they were there lol other wise i would have stayed before i did not even notice them before
yeah was a great weekend, had a blast, and the weather was perfect, little bit of rain over night, and great on sunday, the night racing was interesting, so wish i pulled my head lights down, instead of looking at the tree tops. but was still fun none the less. and the club were great again, were so happy to help us out where and when they could. great event, great people great track and great weather what else could you ask for?
spoiltone... how was the scrutineering & stuff ?, is there any real dramas ?.. nerf bars, window nets etc.Waht are the no go items neccesary to run... I'm trying to follow the specs in both the VORBC & TORC manuals where I can. As you can see from the pic, I got a little ways to go yet and it's a little difficult when your re building, not fabricating from stratch.

great pics! looks like i got all fours off the deck!
a great weekend had by all, big thanks to the sorra for inviting us out there with ample track time.
the nite run was good but yeah need to practise the whole light setup like spoiltone.
after the days proceedings i was able to hop in the nav seat of 2 buggies, steve's 181 buggy and anthone's 220 buggy in wet conditions, these guys are great peddlers full credit to em.
rdracing: looks liek you got a good build going on there, mine has been the same sorta of buiild as your, re fabricating alot of parts to suit. for scrutineering id reccomend a 5 pt harness (sfi rating ok), horn, window nets or arm restraints, side mirrors, fire extinguisher at least 1kg, battery cut off switch would be good too.
i didnt have the window nets but made some arm restaints oiut of occy straps (thanks spoiltone), nor did i have side mirrors or a horn, but the are cracking down so il be fitting these for next time. also reccomended it rear tailight ( amber on all the time, and a brake light) which i will also be fitting.
i dont run by torc specs or anything, ive just made mine to what i think is acceptable, but as always im all into improving it.
also more officials we can get the better, next meet (state round) il be bringing my buggy up but probably will settle for marshalling and recovery. if i can get the buggy out i will but no biggie.
Spoiltone that would be great.....it's good to know roughly what's required....( that's when a check list is a good idea) I'd hate to drive two hours to a meet.. only to find out I'm missing something minor.
cheers Chris
