Tabled Minutes

Excepted as e-mailed

Business arising from minutes

DK looked at CAMS 4H schedule for Specials and relevant schedule J and e-mailed both to KS.  This was discussed in general business.

KS contacted the MGC Club, they had no knowledge of a Special class.  Contacted Nathan Chivers to clarify which club ran the event he attended.  West Lakes was the club and KS is in the process of contacting them.

General Business

Ø  Schedule 4H was discussed and it appears that most buggies will comply with the Specials specifications.  This class however is for Motorkhanas only.

Ø  Discussion about wording of Schedule 4H and whether Specials could take part at in social events.

Ø  Schedule J referred to roll cages that are essential for specials entering events other than motorkhanas.

Ø  Discussion about SMBC approaching SORRA to have all Edge class buggies that comply to TORC specifications to have a demonstration race at the December meet at Colo.

Ø  There will be a working bee at the Colo Heights trace before December meet.  People are invited to attend, help with the trace work and play with their buggies on the trace.  This is a good social event opportunity all are welcome to come along.   Date TBA

Ø  Discussed the meet that was held on the 6th & 7th of August.  Only CP and MK turned up with their mini buggies and KS turned up to meet anyone new.   We were expecting some guys with Polaris buggies to turn up but they did not show.

The SMBC guys had a good time; they had a run Saturday about 3.30 and another night run Saturday night and at least one on Sunday.

Ø  CAMS approved Polaris class discussed and IR believes they are only permitted for Motorkhana events.

Ø  MK and CP have started their officials training.

To be actioned

Ø  DK to attend the next SORRA meeting and put the motion that the edge buggies compliant to TORC specifications to have a demonstration race at the December meet.

Ø  KS to contact Simon from CAMS to talk about H4 specials in relation to social events.

Ø  KS to contact Nathan Chivers about Polaris guys and offer them the opportunity to do recovery at the November meet and start their official training.

Ø  Minutes to have the following attachments, TORC Specs, CAMS Schedule J and Schedule  4H Specials
