do you know if they can run a sr20ve?
mainly the cam timing part of things.

yes it will run the cam timing, i used it on mazda b6 with cam timing. The guy i got it off used it on a sr20 and thats what i was going to use it on.

Is it for constantly variable or switch on/off like vtec?

Dual sport will defiantly run vtec type cam timing, you'll need to check to see if there's an upgrade for constantly variable.

i belive it should just actiavte at a pre set rpm, ie 5400 switch exhaust cam, then 5600 inlet cam via to solenoids on the head. so i guess it be on/off for two different solenoids

Easy then, the outputs are plugged into a relay and set at RPM. You got it. :).
