beam separation

should the beam tubes be the same distance apart as the link pin bores in the king pin ?

my car has 20mm less separation between the beam than between the link pins

and when the wheel is moved through its travel it seems to change the king pin inclination ( caster )

im thinking that if they were the same this wouldn't happen , though i could be wrong ,

any thoughts ?

Sounds like your car has the standard volkswagon beam spacing . If it was the same as the link pins it would be a paralell beam set up . This shouldnt be a problem if your are running power steering , cheers Scooter
