I forgot to ask if anyone has a similar rear end with coil overs can they let me know the spring rates as I messed it up and had to leave the torsion bars as well as the coils.
The right side has been modified and left is still original.

Sounds great but I am not sure how they run. Sounds stupid I know but do they need the EMS to activate them.

yes it will, actually probably easier to keep your current setup lol.. much less stuffing around.

but it is a cam angle sensor that replaces your dristubuter, and then coil on plugs and then you need a igniter. and more wiring, so yeah not worth it i say.. but you do get rid of leads..

Thanks heaps for the offer but the dizzy spark hasn't broken down yet and I am struggling to deal with swinging spanners again on my buggy after almost 20 years out of the trade, so the tech side of the engine is sending me postal.
I have actually lowered the RPM cut out from 8600 to 7250 since the rebuild so I guess I will have even less chance of a spark problem.
I still don't know how it didn't hand grenade as it was a standard SR20 with high comp pistons.
What is the big difference between the VE and DE engines?
Cheers again for the offer.

One side is the old setup and the other is the new, but still have a long way to go.

main difference is the ve is variable cam timing and lift, ie nissans v-tech standard form they are about 55hp more then the de. and with a decent rebuild and tune and supporting mods about 220-250hp at treads.

The exhaust system is an FGK stainless 4 into 1 which was on the bug when I bought it. I had it polished for $60 as it looked like it was rusted to bits.
