Hope the newbie (have we got a name?) has adjustable springs or the nav side will be low on the start line... :)
PG will be there, navigated by Mark-Paul. Im gonna take a stab in the dark and say The Beast wont be in attendance... The Lia's maybe? The Hill boys? Spizz?
BTW - We'll be in the shed working on our own car so if anyone wants to take photos or do a race report for the site I'd be happy to put them up.
Got some more hp jonesy? Water injection still operating?

I'm hoping to be there if i get enough time to check over the car,
michaels out with gearbox problems(can't get second when the car is moving), so he had to race last day of colo in third, but that made a change from being stuck in second the race before
Your aspirations maybe short lived Jones. While you have been doing all the talking, (nothing new there) I've been drawing up the plans for my Retirement Village Hallway Scooter (RVHS1)(watch out for that one in the Buildup's page) and pre-running all the retirement villages in the area. Prepare to keep losing in retirement as well Jones.... Having some problems with the in-door plants however at this stage, working on the rear suspension geometry to reduce excessive oversteer...at this point only on polished floorboards, carpet halls provide excelent grip in wet and dry conditions....
my proffessional driving skills rely heavily on the reflexes & fitness that tennis provides. plus the cucumber sandwiches are a great source of energy to get me through the most demanding of off road tracks. i think you may be jealous of some of the 'blue rinses' that will be on my support bus.
did i hear that you may be doing some 'high altitude training' so you would be suited to the high seat position of the new buggy?
aztek-no amount of scooter preparation, design, & power will ever be competitive if the driver blames surface conditions as a reason for hitting pot plants.
anyway, back to the original question, is anyone else going racing, aspecially now the date has changed? (but i think most people knew)
Whats going on Jones?? Retirement village scooters, tennis, blue rinsed groupies, cucumber sandwiches and don't even start me on the "my proffessional driving skills".....omg!!
btw..What proper racing car driver (or scooter operator) worth his salt, wouldn't blame something other than himself for crashing into big Gum trees...I mean pot plants...lol
There's a whole world of pain just waiting to be unleashed upon you this weekend Jones...hee hee
Steve, let me explain... omg-oh my god btw-by the way lol-laugh out loud hee hee-thats just very funny
sounds like the competion is hotter off the track than on, (I,m sure at least one person will take that the wrong way.) I,m still thinking about going, got till 4pm today to rush my cams lic renewal through @ plus $70.00.
Never know, might be able to pull off another Steven Bradbury?????

To the Recovery, officials and other competitors that put us back on our wheels after our roll over on Sunday, a big big thanks to you all.
The truck needs new panels (any volunteers wanting to learn to fiberglass are more than welcome - we have the moulds and should only take about three weekends to complete the job!!!!!!
But other than that and a new light and horn the truck is ready to go and won't be retiring to the rest home yet.
Was pretty interesting watching werners yellow and blue car go flying through the air rolling. Glad no one was hurt, just didn't agree with the car being rolled back over with Susan still in the car. Lucky she wasn't hurt more. Lia got a first outrihgt and hopefully leant not to let Jeremy build his engines after colo. Waiting to see if kelvin beat the mighty 402, it was a close run until werner held everyone in that heat up by trying to drive jones buggy.
Buggybuster I am not going to enter into an on going conversation however I need to clarify a couple of things. Both Werner and I made an informed and safe decision for me to stay in the truck after we rolled. If you had even been in that situation yourself you wouldn’t be making any comments at all!!
Faced with two options I choose the safer and easier option to stay belted in for one SAFE quick 90 degree turn back onto the wheels.
The alterative goes something like this – while holding on to the chassis with one arm and releasing my belts with the other, (and I have to say I and most other women I know, don’t have the upper body or arm strength to hold their own body weight ). Then twisting my legs out of my side of the cab across the control panel and gears stick which are between the driver and navigator in that truck then lowering myself about 1.2 meters to the other side (or the ground if you like) to then climb out through the front window. Something I was not looking forward to doing as its not as easy as it sounds and would probably have ending more like - letting go of the belts not have the strength to hold myself long enough to twist around and lower to the ground, then falling head first that 1.2 meters and probably suffered head or neck injury and a lot more bruising than I did.
Even a number of very experiences drivers I spoke with last night all agreed if in my situation they would have all done the same thing I did.
I can assure you that had there been any risk of fire or being covered in any hot transmission oil I would have release my belts and been out of there so fast Werner would have foot prints on his helmet.
And as for your last comment All I can say is that club racing is not about a race between two people, its about introducing new people to the sport, getting the kids in the buggies with dad for the first time and driving someone else buggy or truck for that matter and if that means going a little slower meaning other driver may have to overtake then so be it!!
BUGGYBUSTER,we were all in the same boat in that heat, it's part of racing having to overtake people, just ask mundy & jonesy ( just some of us have done it before) i know werner moved over when he could for me, after all it is only a club day & just some fun
THE RESULTS ARE IN, the mighty 402 ford came up short again, maybe you should try a HOLDEN engine to keep up
oh i didn't see that rule. It's ok to break the rules if the crew make the decision.
I'll look for that 1 next time.
Mr cams this driver and navigator made the decision they did not have to have helmets and harnesses, you know it gets hot and messes some girls hair. Well it's the same, extreme I know but no different from what ur saying.
It's not a rule based on your strenght and ability to get out of the car, it's for ur safety.
....I find that wearing a helmet wrecks my hair as well, and don't even start me on finding a matching handbag to go with a pair of simpson boots.....ugh
Holden or GM?.....who cares, its not a Ford!!
Be nice everybody.....Its Christmas Hey Jones, your mother wears army boots......lol
Sorry Mrs Jones, You know I love you, but even you must wonder what went wrong with your son at times, he's just a bad egg. Take comfort in the fact that you have 2 other children that turned out just fine!!
I hear you aztek - any idea how hard it is to find a nice shade of nail polish to match a blue race suit!... and dont get me started on what mud and dust does to your eyeliner....
Merry xmas to all, and to all a good night!
