Hey Jump 1,

I have just had a complete rebuild of my fortin 5 speed including crown wheel and pinion, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gears by Geoff Gillespie of Race Products in Brisbane phone (07) 38614205.

I have found him great to deal with.  I haven't used my box yet so I guess time will tell if it has been put back together properly.

Cheers

Chris

Not sure of the final wash up yet,  but at the start he said that $1000 would pull it up if he was just going to pull it down and do an inspection.

I haven't received it back yet as my race  for Finke stopped when I needed so many parts.

It is nothing compared to the fortin bill hahahahaha

As I said, I have found him extremly good to deal with and he seems like a straight shooter.

Cheers

Chris

we used to use him for the fortin and the albins until both transmissions had faulty assembly issues and he would not accept any responsibility. wayne bell in brisbane is a fortin agent and ron schmidt also does them

Depends on the bellhousing. But the VW/Porsche style uses a common VW high torque starter. I run the IMI starters. (I purchase them through ORW).

Noted that IMI have a listing for both Porsche/VW and Chevy applications.
