Has it only been 12 months? Sorry not to have reported in before now but things have been hectic.
So here it is.
Once again supported by The Nabiac Family Hotel, the small but hardworking crew from the CNCSCC have been busy arranging a weekend for you all to come and chuck rocks and spread some sand. Write it down, put it aside, do whatever you have to do in order to make it to Nabiac on the 20th and 21st of October.
Mr. Peter Sowter has spent nearly all his free time working on the tracks to bring them to as good of condition as can be, in addition he has created a new system of recovery roads so that our new team of 4 roving recoverys can get to those unfortunate enough to need them, quicker and if required, back to the pits faster than ever before.
The Club has spared no effort in trying to have some new facilities up and running and since voting last years Off Road our" Club Event of the Year" support from within our Club has been 100%.
Weather has been kind thus far and we are confident that the full longer course will be available for the all in on Sunday!
The Nabiac Family Hotel is putting on a Free BBQ on friday evening and will be drawing the Ride of Your Life whilst the night goes on.
So come one come all, looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones.
Cheers
David Weller
Ass. CoC.
Note that in the regs we ask for you if you want to, to provide photocopys of certain documents, for those that do this will streamline your registration process.
Having a yarn to Sowt last night and it seems a bit rough that you have to come in drop off your racecar, unpack all the race stuff in the pits then have to turn round and pack all that stuff up again, if it was possible, would allowing 1 service truck space in the pit area with the racecar, be a good idea and how many would want to utilise that facility?
New shower and toilet facilities are very close to being finished and we are assured that they will be ready for our weekend.
Sowt has been like a mother hen over his track and his report is that we could use it this weekend so even if we get some rain it should be the 14.9 km course we will use on Sunday!
Friday night at the Nabiac Hotel, last year we were fortunate to have racecars at the Hotel, if anyone would like to have their car on display please contact me either via here or through the phone numbers on the regs.
Any questions please bang them up here or contact me and I will get answers for you.
Thanks Paul, I will start posting entries up tomorrow, guys the tracks are looking fabulous and it's as dry as a dead dogs, you know, here at present.
Back tomorrow
David
David, apart from a couple of hiccups, people I have talked to, enjoyed the event and the format. It is a big job for "An old offroad racer and a rally driver" and their Club to host a round of the NSW Championship. As it is with all Clubs that host rounds. A big thanks for doing it, Without you guys & your teams efforts, events don't happen.
Great event! Of course there is going to be few problems but that's what makes them exciting! Congrats to all competitors and bring on round 8 at colo park:))
