power steering ram mount

just a couple of questions.

my current setup has a 2" howie ram that has been shortened to fit. it is then bolted the the back side of the rack. so ram mounted one side, and tie rods the other side.

if you get my drift.

what i need to know is can you see a problem if i mount the ram on the same side as the tie rods? so i can avoid having to run a shortend steering ram. as it is rather tight the way itis setup in the front. on the back side i can run a longer (standard) ram.

or is it just best to leave it the way it is by a second ram and shorten it and have a spare? as i need to reinforce the ram mount as it broke of the chassis on the weekend.

what are peoples thoughts?

you'd have to cheak it wouldn't foul on the tie rods at full droup , at at full lock !!

yeah i believe it wont, but i just thinking on a strength side of things. might be easier to by a spare ram and cut it down
and keep that ready to go if fails at track

i would think having it all on one side would put more pressure on the rack/housing,flogging it out quicker, probably cheaper long term to leave it as it is,,,,

yeah that is what im thinking all on one side will load it on one side with at least the ram on other side sort of evens it out..
