I'm in need of a new clutch plate, where is the best place to buy a new one from? its VW spline 200mm I'm after a sprung clutch all the ones I have managed to find are solid plate.
or where is a good place to get it re padded in western sydney?
Why do you use a sprung clutch for, the springs can break and ruin your weekend, I run a solid clutch and have had no problems. I think it's Just something else to go wrong.

Just a case of what i have always used. It's good to hear that the solid disc does the job, I always thought the spring was good for off road to absorb bit of the load on clutch disc. Mite research about the solid disc.
yeah , is western clutch service still around st marys ? i did my work expirence there only a couple of years or 15 ago lol they did clutches for vw off road use

it's not the speed of life that scares me, it's the sudden stop at the end ,
Nathan if you can wait for me to get back from the US on 12/5 I might have one or Adam might have one but there not expensive give racer imports a call, In my opinion the Sprung clutches I have used for years are a good thing and I've worn plenty out without any failures, The solid plate pluck ones are savage were as those are more user friendly for you learners ha
Sorry Nath no good with the clutch there so popular they sold out .
And yes Gav spent the day at contingency looked at all things truck and buggy had a great day then went out to the race we only watched the start. To watch the big trucks in action had me thinking of going to the dark side before Kev clipped me over the head and reminded me that buggys rule .lol
Had a look at Glenn Towers new buggy and what a very nice car it is,Brenthall ind build quality will impress a lot of people he had some problems pre race with the gearbox and I didnt see him pass the first checkpoint at the 100 mile mark so I don't know how he went.
