Sydney Off Road Racing has a meeting on this weekend. 15/16th June.It will be a Monster weekend, with a Motorkhana being held on the Saturday arvo, then the race meeting will commence with the Night races. 2 Races once the darkness descends, then Dinner, then a sleep ( after the tall story Comp).Always happens, one of the best things about racing is the socialising at the end of the day and COLO Park just seems to be good at that.
Then Sunday Morning it all starts again with another 3 races to sort out the pack by the end of the weekends racing.
Our Club is training Officials for all facets of our sport, Off Road Racing. If you have ever had any thoughts about being involved in any kind of Motor Sport, this could be an avenue for you. This training will not only be useable and useful at Off Road race events, it could be a ticket to all types of Motorsport.Flag Marshalling,Pitt Control, Stewarding, Event Command, Timing are just some of these.
If you have a 4WD and would like to give us a hand with recovery, ring me on 040 777 4348 or just rock up. We will supply training for you on the job. A 5 watt UHF radio , would be an advantage. Better if you can let me know you're coming, cause we feed you if you help and it makes it easier if we have numbers in advance for catering. Nothing too fancy, Roast Beef,Pork and Lamb, vegies, Desert . You know , that sort of stuff. Even if your not racing, but coming up to spectate or any reason. the Roast Dinner is good value if you don't want to cart all that food and then cook it yourself. Give the Wife a break, take her out for tea and you get to watch the night racing as well. Gee, that sounds alright. I might come up too.
