is anyone running a standard fuel rail on an L98 commodore engine? if so where and how do you have the fuel pressure regulator hooked up? we have aeromotive fuel pump filter and adjustable regulator. now we have got the motor back from the builder and looked at the rail weve realised theres no return line to hook the reg into.
Basically you plumb the reg inline to the rail and the return to the tank comes out of the reg.
From memory fuel pump pressure goes in one side . Other side goes to fuel rail and bottom is return to tank. Put a gauge on the reg and adjust until you get the desired pressure.
l98 and ls1 etc don't have a return line to the tank. pressure regulator is in the fuel sender unit.
I knew I should have looked at more cars when season was going!!!
Plenty of cars have single ended fuel rails including the 2GR-FE that we run.
If you want to run the aeromotive regulator you need to incorporate a return line and plumb it as I explained.
