SORRA as a Club have been looking at updating its timing system for a while now and Mylaps Timing gave the Club a presentation on their system at the last General meeting.
Transponder costs were brought up and the question of "who would be interested in buying/having their own transponder "
Costs for having your own would be $130 for the first year, then $70 each year after that to reactivate it. They will replace it ,if it is damaged,in this cost. But not if it is lost.
These transponders will work on any event running the Mylaps system. The NSWORC uses this system.
If the SORRA Club updates to this system, how many of the Members would buy their own transponders?
Something to think about! If they can get an idea of numbers of Members that would purchase transponders, they could all be purchased at the same time as the System is purchased.
Your thoughts! Maybe fill in the Poll and add your bit here.
