another great weekend of racing at warialda. chapman was on fire taking pole and the win in the 3 short heats, then took the early lead in the long course only to have eletrical issues side line him after 2 laps. terry then took the lead and the win from laurie sevenson followed by tony fehlhaber (138).

Sooo unfair... NEXT YEAR!!!!  :(

How was the atmosphere/food/bourbon at the pub?

Heard that Anthony Lia succumbed to engine woes, Spokes to electrical gremlins for a couple of shortcourse heats. Paul Grant busted a rear arm in long course heat.

DD - thanks for update.  anyone else got news?

I reckon Jeff Thomas was the drive of the weekend, not exactly sure where he ended up, maybe 7th or 8th outright, certainly in the top 10, but a brilliant effort. Good win by Phil? Page (148 Yellow buggy) in the dash for cash at the end of the day, sorry don't get to see you NSW guys race much so i am a bit rusty with names and cars. Special mention to the guys in the Class 5 Datsun as well, what a top job to keep pushing on, minus the front gaurds and the bonnet in the end. Frightening what happened to Derrick Kennedy (Navigator for Laurie Svenson) getting a huge rock smash into the visor of his helmet, i seen the helmet afterwards and it did not look pretty. Another great event run by the Warialda guys and a pretty good finishing rate, didn't count the finishers, but i reckon it was about 50%.

Yeah - JT aint slow! But any car built by Bill Croft wouldnt be slow anyway.  Also helps that JT's navs (Holly and Chloe) weigh about 30kg each!

I think you would find that Peter Calvert(Mr Super Boot)has taken a special interest in J Ts car and between Jeff and Peter ,They've developed a pretty special class 3Congratulations to the three of them ,Jeff,Chloe & Peter .Top job at Warrialda.
Swanny also finnished well up there, keeping the class 1s honest and I think from memory ,takimg 2nd in class.Geofff Cripps & son Laurence had a problem right at the end of the weekends racing, but staggered across the line & into the pits so it looked like they had not finnished in the money, but in fact they probably took 2nd place in the NSW Championship points at this round.
David Nikifforof finished well as did the PINK VW of Warren Irons albiet a broken springplate droppng him out of the 3rd short course race with a short distance tooo go,
Then after patching it back together, started the long course races one and a half laps behind and completed them both..
Also Gavin Mickle with some suspect looking navigaters, iook out class 4 in his Holden powered Toyota,Bob Mobray also finnished well up there, the first finnish for a while for Bob,also made sweeter still with son Ashley bringing his car home as well, the first finnish for Ashley in 14 races he has competed in. Ashley came home in about 4th place outright,a great efort

I'd just like to thank everyone that helped get the Hogs Breath Cafe Baja back in the race after the broken spring plate looked to have spoiled our weekend. I would not have had the opportunity to enjoy the long course without their help, espesially popper smurf, Anthony Lia, Hunter rivmasta, Corry Dillon, Ian Irons & Glen Spizzo.

Also thanks to the organisers for letting me go out 2 laps behind.
