New class 4 rules

I recieved my new DirtComp magazine yesterday and was surprised to read that Bajas will be able to run under full class 4 rules so l have 2 questions

1.Can l run a convertable baja ( a Mowbray class 1 body ) on a buggy frame.

2. Can said buggy frame be an A/arm set up.

It will open a can of worm's l am sure but l have not seen the full reg's so l might be barking up the wrong tree so l hope someone can help.

Any and all coments would be welcome

It said Bajas have been given all freedoms as other class 4's, it will be interesting to see the final regs when they are released as if the rules are too lenient, we could end up with class ones with baja bodies running in class 4

6 Litre Mid-Engine, 6 Speed Sequential Albins box, Buggy with Baja bodies bolted on, running class 4. I'm EXCITED.

Wolf has hit the nail on the head class 4 trucks are only truggies with fiberglass bodies so why not a A/arm buggy/baja the advantage has been with the truck's now for how many years. Baja's do rule and having had one myself l no with a bit more freedom such as chassis length and being able to make the whole package more ridged you could run with the truggies even with a beam type front end. You want bigger classes this is a start towards that end.

what I was saying is make it so that trucks and bajas are even, not an advantage either way

It has been my understanding that ever since the rules changed that as long as it looked like a production car (with eyes slightly squinted), but was not smaller than the original  it was a class 4. Any chassis, any suspension any engine up to 6ltr normally aspirated or not you were able to run in class 4
