So who's going to Colo??

Should be a great weekend. We ran up there in September at the club
event.....only lasted 1 lap....but the track was excellent.
All those guys that get up there on the working bees do a great job...well done!

Looking forward to racing at night again.

Just hope my axles are ready....

The track is ready and after the last round at Nabiac some of the the cars that were hoping to wrap up thier class's for the year didn't .
This is going to make the last round at COLO PARK do or die for quite a few class's,and the racing should be spectacular.
Class 9 protananists Peter Sowter,Murray Bignell & Darren Stocks are all sitting close together in the points tally, and with the other class 9's in there to spoil the straight out battle between them ,they will all be working hard .
In class 2 Matt Martin blew his chances with an altercation with the underbrush, this letting Peter Skaza and Michael Spokes back into to the race for the number 1 plate. Also the man who has won the class in the last 3 and only races he has run this year,Scott McNiel, is also sitting close enough to take a place on the podium with along with Jono Patterson,Anthony Lia ,Dick Alport and last years winner of the class,Wayne Horsfall, being some of the cars that will be chasing hard to upset the contenders

Class 1,after the leading cars of Warren Irons(The Pink VW) & Jeff Cripps who are tied, is also separated by a very small margin of points.Paul Tuck-Lee's fingernail grip on third place has a gaggle of cars ready to take it from him,Troy Tisdale,Phillip Page,Tim Baker and Garry Simpson. are all in there with the chance
Class 3 will also be interesting to see who takes out the minor places. Jeff Thomas has the Championship in his keeping but theres not a lot between the rest

So the place to be on the 18/19th November 2006 is COLO PARK There is going to be some very good/close. racing happening there

Story 1:
Aliens landed and when they asked the question "take us to your leader" we took them to Ian Irons... whom they promtly kidnapped.  His current whereabouts is unknown but a mysterious garden gnome has been seen orbiting the international space station....

Story 2:
An underground race of mutant morlocks surfaced to watch the days racing and enjoy a cold drink and a pie from the canteen.  As they dont use money they traded many gold nuggets for each pie and now the SORRA club is now insanely rich. The club is going to buy Eastern Creek Raceway and cover the entire circuit with dirt and jumps so we can go racing on it.  V8Supercar is re-writing sup regs for their Eastern Creek event to put navigators in thier cars.

Story 3:
A couple of big rolls on the front straight (Stocks and Cooke (ex nigel burley Riv)), the werewolf and his cousin won the event, Jeff Thomas took out outright NSW champ after finishing the event 3rd outright (how quick has he been this year!), it was hot dry and dusty.  I loved it!

Ian's race report is on the front page of the site and will let you know who ran where.

Story 4:
Kenny Rogers was seen skulking around the paddock and tower area but refused to perform...

2 of the stories above are true.  Take your pick which ones!
