Tyres

Gents

I am about to spend my hard earned cash on some tyres for the T6000 & would be interested to get any feedback from you guys on my short list.

Cooper STT

BFG Muddies

Wrangler MTR

Jusr like everybody I am looking for the best balance between price & performance, I have run the BFG Muddies & they have been good having said that I have never run any of the others so I have no comparison. All of these tyres are with in $10.00 of each other $379 - $388.

Look forward to your input.

Cheers
JC

The New Cooper Stt get my vote, 3 ply side wall, Crossply technology under tread to reduce punctures & the grip inducing side biters.

The New Cooper Stt is fantastic, Grip is 2-3x better than the older cooper and I've ran them all year, completed all but 25 kms of the NSW state races and they still look like brand new. And racing a baja the side walls get a pretty good run as well.

We started off with Hancooks in the Rivvy - bought them due to cost and thought they were OK....  until you change tyres!

Went to cut Yokies on the front (not really applicable for the t6000 granted!) and made a huuuge difference, but biggest difference was went we went to BFG Muddies on the rear, all of a sudden we had traction!  Car was much easier to drive and heaps quicker.  Havent tried others since then!
