Try trik offroad they are in Melbourne they are cheap and good quality. Also try Kartek in the states if it can be posted (smaller size, rack ect) you can save heaps get onto Baja Mike or Rob Roy via email, if it is posted you pay no import duties or GST.

depends on your budget!!!!

We ran a trik rack in the rivvy - never ever had a prob with it, most people dont.  good price too. We ran ours with a 1.75" UMP power steer ram.  We also ran trik alumium hubs front and rear.  We did pull the brake discs out of the rear hubs once and some other people have done the same too.....  You could talk to Morrie (hes a good bloke) to see íf theyre good for your application.  Gotta love Aussie made to.  :)  We run all moly rod ends - wouldnt use anything else.

There are Aussie engineering shops manufacturering offroad parts too.  Arms and the like - depends on what you're after I guess!

as to where to get US parts, take your pick. There are heaps of importers in aus now who want your custom.

Boyd Motorsport Products who sponsor SORRA events (check the links page)
or ring all of the importers listed on offroadracing.com.au and get the best price for what it is that you want!  Remember to get prices including any postage/courier costs.

You could also try going to kartek, off road warehouse, mckenzies etc direct, but you may find that you're not saving much, if anything over some of the aussie importers due to dollar fluctuations and savings they get from buying in bulk.

But I'd definately try trik first to see if they've got what you need. :)

The trick with buying directly from the USA is to keep purchases below $1000 as you do not have to pay GST under Aus$1000.
There are genuine savings to be made by importing over buying from Racer Imports etc but orders need to be large enough to cover freight costs which are cubed for freight calculations. For example if you imported a steering rack which is heavy you would pay very little extra freight if you imported light bulky items like CV boots , helmet visers etc at the same time.

The biggest drama with importing yourself is getting the wrong bits but Aus Post to the USA is very reasonable if you do need to return bits.

One thing I have noticed is when buying off Kartek , they won't accept VISA from overseas customers.Does any one else get told the same thing or just me.
