The first one is a XC Falcon jack, they are the same principal as the high lift that you have but they are pressed metal instead of cast, they are quick to operate and quite unaffected but dirt and mud etc. I have fitted a couple of them to cars and you can shorten them or weld to them to add lifting pads etc.
The other one ( now don't laugh too loud!) is a Valliant jack, it is the same as the above it just depends which one you can get hold of, none of them are what you would call current model cars any more!
motown we had a jack out of a old holden or ford i think it was a ford its like a mini hilift ,they are the ones that used to go in the bumper bars to lift the car and they are just pressed metal so they are lite, all we did was weld the removable foot on to it and it worked a treat .
Valiant Jack (its like a hi lift 4x4 jack, but made from pressed tin), also maybe worth a look at the VW jack, can weld a bit of solid onto extend and it sort of creeps up. Easier to get down than a valiant jack, but slower on the up.
I just fitted a 'double scissor jack' from some late model jap crap, takes up hardley any room and easy to mount. Grahams Wreckers used to sell them to a lot of off-roaders. Always was a bit nervous about the high lift jacks, collapsing etc! Why not buy a rattle gun and a king jack, you've got plenty of money hav'nt you? Wonder what dollar value a quicker tyre change is worth?
hehe... yeah heaps of money... just need a second job on oxford st...
scissor jack certainly is much lighter than the 4x4 jack! How bout scissor jack and a 12v rattle gun from ebay? (plugs into ciggie lighter/gator clips to battery) about $100 all up? reasonably quick change.

I believe there is a caravan jack that works on the same principle as a King jack but I guess you still need a rattle gun. I have a Ford bumper jack that has done 10 Finkes with me and I used it for the first time this year and it worked well .It was fast going up and once the tyre was changed the buggy fell off the jack when I chucked the flat on the spare tyre carrier so it was fast coming down too.
If you want a king jack on a budget, then its a kombi jack you are after :) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VW-Kombi-jack-made-in-Germany-by-Bilstein-Folding-arm_W0QQitemZ120144429667QQihZ002QQcategoryZ72456QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
