I know a guy in Orange who has a class 3 complete box built by Ron Schmidt thats never been used. He bought it to put inot a rivmasta and never used it. Interested?

I'm after Ron schmidts number at racetrans if anyone knows it ?.Bug308 tryed that number didnt work ,but thanks any way.My gearbox is still working but could do with a overhall,considering it hasent been serviced at least 15 years.I've only done two races in it since owning the buggy ,but before that it had been sitting in a shed.I think the drive shaft bearing is stuffed because the output flange has a good wobble in it.I thought i would get it serviced before warialda.
You could also try Gavin Potts (class 3 racer) at Dirtsports Engineering in Port Macquarie. He's a bit of a VW transaxle nut with contacts at Albins etc. He's helped us out heaps with boxes, engines etc and will be looking after our Renault box. We (Rick and I) recommend him.

Errr - "Rodney Rude", I stand by my recomendation - Gav does good work, is a good bloke and its about time he did this for a living. As I said, he'll be looking after our trans.

A message to all those accusing me of attacking Gavin Potts and his business could you please anser a couple of questions for me. Why would i write somthing like that about gavin when he is working on my gearbox this week? Why would i have got him to build it in the first place if i thought his work was so bad?
So why dont you grow some balls and ring me direct Garry ,Nigel and find out my birthday (which is the 12th of may 1985) and anything else you would like to no about me instead of ringing others trying to find out info.

sorry if we or i got on the wrong side of you if the person making the remarks had "balls" in the first place this wouldn't have happened like others have noted gav is a top bloke all round i know he has done alot of hours on my car and i have worked with him he has raced with me. and best of all dranks lots with him so you get the idea about him yes i will call you if you feel it nessisary but rumours spread real fast in a small close nit racing circle like offroad so once again we were trying to get to the bottom of this real fast so it didn't ruin his repution before it begun .good guys live long and play hard HE DOES Nigel

And for those scratching their heads wondering what was going on - a couple of us were trying to establish the identity of Rude above and behind the scenes obviously jumped to an incorrect conclusion. Pete obviously puts a big tick next to Gav's work as well.

Well, at the end of this thread (and Im about to lock it as its waaaay off topic) weve established that Gavin Potts at DirtSports Engineering in Port Macquarie (0408 229 706) has glowing public recommendations from Me, Rick, Nigel Whittaker, Shaun & Marty Dal Santo and Peter Latimore when it comes to getting your VW box built.
OK, so Rude gets on this forum and criticises a person and there company. Then Rude logs on under another name, saying. " He is working on my gearbox " How do i know? The I.P address shows it's the same user.
