prolite motor????

Looking at what would be a good prolite motor as the 3.5ltr nissan's are becoming hard to find and cost to much. I know toyota make a 3.5ltr 200kw
v6 but dont know much about them?????

  Cheers

toyota v6 info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Toyota_engines#V6

MZs from camrys etc and are easy to find, cheap as chips.
GRs are much harder to find and much more exe. and if you want a crate engine from toyota, you'd want to either work for them, or you'll have to give them your firstborn!

how about the honda's, i've got a c32a modified by john towers and tuned by buzzard and i love it! It was cheap to buy and easy to get hp out of it. Pagey won the NSW title with the same type of motor last year and Kylma (107) won prolite at finke last year with one as well. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

2204 thanks for the rap. Jump1, we have a constant development program for these engines (Honda 3.2/C32A1) might be a good choice.

Any time buzzard,
offroad 241, I could be wrong but i think Tony Felhaber (138) runs c35a with good results  both in class & outright in queensland, but buzzard would know more as he tunes most of them and him and john have worked on them for years now so they know what works and what doesn't so you don't have to waste money.

241, as 2204 says, Tony Felhaber 138 is running the C35A1 with good results for what is basically an engine direct from an importer.

I find the C32 is slightly better than the C35. The cylinder heads are a better design and it does not have a balance shaft.

Really either engine is quite good. Glenn Towers has a C32 engine ready to go (ex Dave Catsicus 923) with custom (John Towers) sump, intake manifold, extractors adapter plate, flywheel. Engine has crank and sync triggers set up to suit Autronic ecu and I would have the Autronic map here for that engine.

That makes it basically a ready to go proposition.
