Balaclava

I have entered in the Finke, it is my first Aust Champ event.  Could anyone fill me in whether my co driver need a balaclava?

I had some baklava for desert last night. Whoops? Not the same thing? ohhhh.... :)

Balaclava is not mandatory, a proper helmet (ie, not a bike helmet!) is fire resistant anyway. Balaclavas may become mandatory in the future though I guess.

I thought that a properly fitting helmet would not allow a beanie to fit underneath.   Also removing the padding in your helmet would be illegal as it would no longer comply to Australian Standards.idea
