IF, and only IF.....Reckell and I decide to build a CLUB level race track, of approx 15km/lap, would people out there be interested in using it. We dont want to affect any other tracks, and our track would be a short version similar to Griffith events (lots of red dust)! I created a track last weekend, approx 12km, with a 2km straight, couple of 2km tight sections, and some fence line runs (not a car breaker), have good camping facilities, and about 15km from town. Any comments? (btw, we are about 5hrs from sydney, 3hrs from crookwell)
I realise most of the requirements (CAMS), but I do need to check out my personal liability implications if the worst was to happen! Unsure which club to affiliate with (Griffith, Crookwell, or Sydney), or if those clubs are willing to run it. Its just a thought..... It would be a way of club/budget racing on similar terrain to some national events within easy reach of a lot of NSW buggies. Close to a town with reasonable facilities (plus 4 pubs and a bowlo nearby) Dont want to detract from other club races, just wondering if it would be viable/supported?
sounds like a great idea jonesy, are the honda's allowed to come and play? heard a rumor on the weekend that griffith might make a come back, anything been said down there about it or is it just wishful thinking
JUST DOIT STEVE IF ANY ONE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS THEY EITHER DONT HAVE THE SPORTS BEST INTEREST AT HEART OR THEY FEEL THREATENED. SO EITHER WAY NO REASON NOT TO DO IT. ASKING EVERY BODIES OPINION TAKES TOO MUCH TIME SO ASK A FEW AND RIP IN TO IT. GOOD LUCK MATE AND KEEP US POSTED.

GETTING OFFROAD RACING THE RECOGNITION IT DESERVES
Hey Steve, do you have any dirt left on your place to make a track out of? We woke up this morning & there has been a dust storm on the coast & as everything is bright red with dust it must have come from out your way.
Yeh, thats the land I bought this year, put lots of fertilizer on it too, so I hope it comes in handy for you. We also had mud raining on us out here, made a real mess!
Hondas could come, but they will be penalised if they beat the land owners entry (oh, hang-on, a honda would'nt finish anyway)
Have not heard anything about griffith event, but have'nt seen anyone from over that way for a while.
